Brukie (like cookie) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Washington, D.C., where museums are within walking distance and city parks function as an extension of home.
The daughter of immigrants, Brukie’s work is shaped by inherited memory, cultural navigation, and the quiet negotiations between belonging and becoming. Working across oil, acrylic, illustration, and poetry, her practice is guided by intuition and curiosity, seeking connection points between the visible and the hidden, the personal and the universal.
Her studio is her living room—paintings hung gallery-style, brushes resting in vases like flowers, and vibrant plants filling the space. When she’s not creating, she can often be found playing geography trivia or watching documentaries, continuing her practice of observation and learning beyond the canvas.
